Sirius Black and Regulus Black, the heirs of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black, took their roles towards the family in their own way

Sirius was not proud of his family's ideologies and turned his back against them. As a result, he was disowned by his parents and his name, removed from the family tapestry

Regulus, on the other hand, dutifuly fulfilled all of the responsibilities that was expected of him. He was everything his elder brother would not be. 

There was no contact between the brothers ever since the disownment of Sirius Black.
