What was supposed to be a trip to Ishgard suddenly turned into a disaster when three Garlean war airships attacked without warning, knocking a wounded Nahsa unconscious off Cid Garlond's airship, the Enterprise. While Nahsa is falling, a mysterious rift suddenly appears, tearing a big hole into another world. Falling through the rift and over the citadel, her rapid descent caught the eye of Nyx Ulric, who was outside training with his fellow brothers and sisters in arms until he saw Nahsa falling out of the sky. After rescuing and carrying her to the infirmary, Nyx quickly tells his captain about the unexpected visitor. What will happen next? Will Nahsa find a way home? Or will she find a reason to stay in the strange, new world?

Initially planned to be an espionage unit more akin to an android than her MT brethren, budget limitations reduced Gaia to just another pawn used for more destruction. That was, until a chance fight outside of Insomnia, Lucis's capital, gave her the opportunity she needed for her own freedom. She was finally able to make her own choice: to take her own side and forge her own path- a path of redemption. Throwing caution to the wind and hiding her magitek nature, she set off to join Prince Noctis Lucis Caelum in finally bringing an end to Niflheim's destruction. However, walls eventually crumble, no matter what. Her act can only be held up for so long before her new friends realize she isn't exactly the hunter she claimed to be. It also seemed that fate had more in store for the rogue magitek than just helping the Chosen King fulfill his destiny. Reminders of her past, brought into a new light by her choices in the present.
