Setting: Early stages of a galactic republic, contact with other worlds is still being established, and crime is at an all time high.

Sykkuno was in a strange predicament. On one hand he could put his trust in the republic, and leave the lives of his people in their hands. Or, he could put the fate of Vallen in a shady persona. 

It should be obvious but, this mysterious person, they're offering security to Vallen and more. They claim to have the tools at their disposal, and Sykkuno doesn't have very many options.
