On one day in 1989, 43 infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. 7 are adopted by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who creates the Umbrella Academy. Later on a young girl age 13 came to the academy and replaced number 5 as number 8, the girl was most special out of them all.
