Crestfallen

“Whoa is me, I have crested the rise only to slide down the
other side. Hard work and determination
culminated in victory but alas it was short lived. Success is barely meaningful if it is
permanent. Poor, poor dear, I will have
to strive once more at the face of a new challenge or even worse might have to
make another run at this one. How shall
I ever bear it?” I lament, my sponsor smiles.

“Are you learning to be amused at yourself or hoping to
bring back melodrama to the everyman?”
She queries.

“A little of both I think, whining is a consolation to me,”
I reply.

“It’s nice that you’re not doing it at me, but even nicer
that you have let your achievements teach you to laugh at your mishaps,” says
my sponsor with a kiss to my forehead.

"You will meet together every Wednesday." She says with a smile, jotting down something on her clipboard. I grab my dry erase marker and start to scribble furiously on my white board. I flipped the side over to face the therapist and she read aloud. "I don't even know who this person is." "You can't isolate yourself, Wynter. Friends are nice to have around, for encouragement, to laugh with, and sometimes even cry with." She says and I shake my head vigorously. "Wynter, you make yourself think you don't need anyone's help or company, because you are scared. You've been hurt too much, so you put this defensive wall up, that no one can break down." She says and I frown at her. "It's time to let those walls down, honey." She pats my knee and I shake my head again. "And this is the person that's going to help you do it." '·.¸¸.·''¯'··._.· '·.¸¸.·''¯'··._.· Wynter Adams hasn't spoken in eight years. No one knows why, or what happened to make her this way. She attends therapy and when she refuses or her behavior becomes destructive she stays over night at Mercies Children's Hospital. When she's given an assignment from her therapist to spend her afternoon with another patient she refuses, but the therapist insists this is her cure. He is her cure. Asher Linn has been in intensive care and therapy for his temper, for running away from home five times, and for his alcoholism. His therapist recommended some medication to help with his mood swings. But Asher became sick of them and was immediately engulfed in the arms of depression. Asher agrees to meet up with this 'other patient' just so he could escape the hospital. But everything doesn't go according to plan. "I don't know, Gracie. That's the point. I don't know why I'm willing to feel how much you broke my f*cking heart every minute we're together just so I can be with you. It's not logical. But I am. I would sit through a hundred of these horrible drives just to be with you." .................. Once a heart has been broken, can it ever really heal? G + E = Forever But then Gracie Allen had her heart crushed and Ethan Bennett had his shattered. G + E = Forever For Never After one fluke letter being published in a magazine about said heartbreak, coincidentally the heartbreaker himself comes back. But is it a mere coincidence? Could it be fates way of telling Gracie that, maybe, not all heartbreaks are permanent. And maybe love, however wrong it feels to your brain, isn't logical. It's chemical. With words left unsaid, secrets untold, and a popular weekly column of anonymous crap advice written by a hypocrite, can one university student rise to the challenge that Ethan holds, or will she fall away into dust from all that used to be? It might take one hell of a bridge to build, but when love is waiting on the other side, maybe it's worth it to try. .................. Okay, so a few words before you get into this. I DON'T have anything planned out. It's kinda just coming to me as I write. I have no idea what's going to happen. All I know is that I was in a lovey-dovey mood and wanted to write gushyness and awesomeness. So here is my attempt at that. AGAIN THIS IS NOT PLANNED AND SOME SHIT MIGHT HAVE NO REASON BEING IN IT BY THE TIME ITS FINISHED. But I hope you enjoy it! Started March 14th, 2016! Finished March 21st, 2016! (A FREAKING WEEK. WHAT.)
Memoirs of A Healer/Clinical Social Worker: Autobiography of Bruce Whealton by BruceWhealton

A healer. A survivor. A victim of profound injustice. How does someone who has dedicated their life to helping others find the strength to heal themselves after losing everything? In December 2019, I woke up in a psychiatric hospital following a suicide attempt. A simple conversation with another patient sparked a shift within me-a glimmer of clarity that would change the course of my life. But how did I end up there? What devastation could drive a loving spouse, a therapist, and a lifelong survivor to the edge of despair? This book unravels the journey that led me to that breaking point and how I found the strength to keep living. My story is one of triumph and tragedy-of overcoming paralyzing shyness and social anxiety to become a psychotherapist, only to have my life shattered by unimaginable injustice. Between 2000 and 2006, I lost everything I had built: my home, my career, my community, and the love that once gave my life meaning. The destruction was sudden, like a meteor crashing down, and the aftermath left me in ruins. Worse still, the world condemned me as a villain when I was only ever a victim. But this is not just a story of loss. It is a story of survival, of how I faced the darkness and chose to keep living. It is a testament to how love, hope, and the power of connection can guide us through even the longest night. Through this memoir, I share not only my pain but also my triumphs-the moments of joy, love, and meaning that kept me fighting for life. I write this book for anyone who has ever felt unseen, unheard, or unjustly condemned. I write it to show that healing is possible, that our stories matter, and that no matter how broken we feel, there is always a path forward. This is my story. But it is also a story of hope-for you, for me, and for anyone who has ever longed for justice, healing, and love.

*COMPLETED* My head bowed in a heavy mannor, not in respect, but in trepidation. I discern his unwavering gaze over my ill silhouette. "Look at me." I opened my eyes, though it made no difference. Black is still black, all I am left with are my four senses. He will kill me if I don't look. He will kill me if I do. He will look into my sightless eyes and see my futile existence isn't worth living. He will kill me, and he will be doing the pack a justice by it. He growls a low, throaty snarl to warn me about disobeying an alpha. There will be consequences, we both know that. His lingering growls let me know he is not going to allow me to contravene his word. I steadily inch my head upwards, visibly shaking everywhere else. Maybe he won't notice my depthless eyes from across the gazebo. My life depends on it. "You're blind." ~ Monet was born into a particularly prestigious area of her wolf pack, to parents of extremely high standards. Her legacy is to become the packs next healer, but when she was born completely devoid of melanin, all her mated parents saw was a disappointment. Being born an albino wolf pup meant a lot for Monet, but it mostly meant her condition had taken her eyesight along with it. What happens when Monet meets the Alpha of a neighboring pack? Will he accept her for what she is? ~CONTENT WARNING~ This book contains depictions of physical abuse, foul language, and upsetting scenary. This book is in no way, shape, or form glorifying domestic abuse of a parent or partner. This book is intended for individuals who feel at odds with their self due to their uniqueness. It is meant to shine light on those who differ from the majority; conquering, and overcoming those who lessen them for what makes them special. ~ Word count at completion date: 33,915 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.

~Her words were my poison. I used them to consume myself. Disturbingly honest. Painfully strained. Carefully penned down. Dangerously addictive.~ A journal that landed in the right hands and told a whole story with words, no lips could speak. Two people bound by the pages of a book that tore their souls apart. He found it lying around and wondered what could go wrong. He didn't recognise the handwriting but he knew he instantly fell in love with it. Then it began. The assault of words on his life. He couldn't believe a word she wrote but somehow he did. He knew more about her than anyone else but he knew so little about who she was... It was maddening. How someone could have such an impact on you without having a single conversation with you. Her precious words tortured his existence, they drowned him in misery, created a black hole of words around him, gave him everything he needed to live. Made him fall in love. Gave him a world of his own. Made him believe in rainbows, unicorns, coffee, the basis of happiness, the meaning of every sunrise, the mystery of every deep ocean, she made him human. He knew he had to find her. He had to find out who she was. He had given him all the clues he needed but none of them were enough to prepare him for who she was. But sometimes... The journey is more important than the destination. Sometimes, the journey is the destination. A book full of stolen pages and a boy full of curiosity. This was how he let her shape his story. __________________ Description inside. Italics = Journal entry. 500 word chapters.
