Yume Angiro is a noble's 14-year-old daughter who never felt that she belonged in her small family. When her parents left on a business trip, Yume seized the opportunity to run away in order to seek freedom from her life. While she was out on the streets, Yume encountered Luffy trying to help Zoro escape from the marine base. Yume used extraordinary puppeteering skills to free Zoro, thereby impressing Luffy who then invited her to join his pirates crew. She agreed on the condition that he would take her all around the world.
So how did Yume come to possess such extraordinary puppeteering skills? Well, even unbeknownst to her at the time of this encounter, Yume came from unusual stock...
