Sofía Valdez and her twin brother Leo have been through a lot. Their mother died in a fire when they were young and have been on the run since, traveling from orphanage to orphanage. But after returning from the war ending in Gaea's defeat, Sofía learned that Leo had sacrificed himself to save her and the rest of the demigods from Gaea's wrath. Unfortunately, this wasn't enough to please the gods. She was sent off to a little town called Encanto in Columbia to help save a miracle that was given to a family with the last name Madrigal.
