For not that very long of a time, Michael of the Manor was seeking for an opportunity of a lifetime. And just when that opportunity seemed to be opportune, all that is and was now is not and was not. The Land that this young fellow thought to be of no spectacle to spectate, soon shifts and twists into a tale never untold ever again.
Whether it is feasting in the halls of the Intoxicated Village, sailing across the deserts on the Gliding Wagons, or throwing slurs at an irritated canyon that talks back with sass, nothing can compare to a tasty bite of flour moons, lightly salted! In the ever so changing life of Michael of the Manor, all that once was so simple, shall become...that which cannot be explained.

ONC2025 Rafe Daring is not a hero known for his bravery. He is a farm boy known for being stubborn, cheeky, and doing things haphazardly, which always leads to chaos. When he flees town on his motorcycle, chased by the boy he'd turned into his nemesis, Rafe veers from safety to avoid his enemy. He ventures onto a strangled path through the forbidden forest, a vast stretch of access-restricted nature reserve bordering his family's farm. As with most of his decisions, this one also leads to disaster. Soon, Rafe finds himself injured and lost at the bottom of a steep slope, trying to find his way home. When he stumbles into a briar vine-covered wall, he decides that his only way home might be through what appears to be an archway clogged by vines. However, he is unprepared for what waits for him when he breaks through the thick, thorny briar vines. Finding himself in an increasingly dangerous and confusing situation, he realises that this time, he'd outdone himself in the art of making extraordinarily bad decisions. He has one question that stands out above all his other questions: "Who would be dumb enough to give an idiot like me superpowers?!" TW: Some chapters might have upsetting themes; reader discretion is advised. ONC2025 Prompt 1: You stumble upon a mysterious door made entirely of briars and thorns. As you step through, you're granted extraordinary powers. But with great power comes great responsibility - it's now your duty to save the crumbling kingdom. Word Count (WP Web) = 39 269

Waking up face down in mud sucks any day of the week. But coming around in the sludge of a strange realm...? Well, that just redefines a bad day altogether. Trapped in an unfamiliar world, sixteen-year-old Quinn is frustrated that none of the strange Tree People appreciate his urgency to get back home to earth. Now he is faced with a choice that could change the course of his life: escape and find his own way home, or stay and help them find the cause of the poison ravishing their world. When the mind-reader unlocks one of the ancient mysteries of the Tree People it points to the only way of saving them from annihilation: they have to find the Power of Light. What exactly that means, the mind-reader doesn't reveal, but his next warning comes as a shock to all present: finding the mysterious Power of Light can only be done with the help of the dangerous enemy tribe whom they once called family. Quinn soon finds himself a little more entangled in the lives of these gifted beings than he'd care to be. Especially after meeting Jazz: the feisty girl from his world who seems to be a regular visitor to the world of Zoay. To Quinn's constant frustration, the aqua-eyed pixie makes it clear that she's not there to make friends. On their journey they'll brave bizarre encounters in dangerous alien forests, while sacrificing pride and will for the survival of all. Along the way Quinn finds more than he ever thought to seek: purpose, fulfillment and love. When the Power of Light is finally found a devastating discovery is made: if all of Zoay-including their enemy-want to live and prosper, one must be willing to sacrifice their life.

People are vanishing without a trace, and those who remain speak of eerie figures lurking in the dark, silent as shadows. The townsfolk are gripped by fear, unwilling to venture out after sunset. At the heart of the mystery is the abandoned Hawthorn Manor, a decaying mansion that has stood untouched on the outskirts of town for decades. Rumors swirl about its dark past, involving a family that mysteriously disappeared many years ago. Now, whispers of a curse draw curious outsiders and thrill-seekers, but none return the same-or at all. When 17-year-old Emily Weaver's best friend goes missing after daring to explore the manor, Emily is determined to uncover the truth. Armed with a mix of skepticism and desperation, she gathers a group of unlikely allies-each with their own reasons for seeking answers.
