Frankie is having a bad year. A very bad year. After getting brutally dumped by her long time boyfriend, having her family decide she is a danger to herself after she falls asleep in the tub with a bottle of wine and has her committed. With no job, lots of debt and a knock at the door from a lawyer, Frankie fears the worst. Instead its something wonderful, yet strange. Her great grandfather had left her all his belongings, cleared her debt and gave her his home, which has been in the family for years. Although saddened by the loss of a family member, she doesn't even remember him. I keep having this story play out in nightmares over the last few years. This is just me getting it out of my head. Please excuse any spelling or grammar errors, I usually write in the wee hours and I'm a little rusty at writing in general.

After surviving a tragic accident that took her father's life, sixteen-year-old Emma is forced to move to a quiet little town with her grieving mother. The town is picture-perfect-too perfect. But beneath the surface, something is deeply wrong. Their new house is unsettling. The air feels cold. The nights are too quiet. And Emma can't shake the feeling that something-or someone-is watching her. Her mother, once grieving, is suddenly... too happy. The townspeople are welcoming-too welcoming. And the house? It whispers to her. Tells her things she shouldn't know. But no one will listen. As Emma unravels the town's secrets, she realizes she was never meant to leave. And if she doesn't escape soon, she might not be Emma anymore.
