Hermione Granger is overjoyed when she gets a letter inviting her back to Hogwarts to redo her 7th year.
A steady relationship with Ron keeps her happy and they both, with Harry, return to Hogwarts as a couple.
She is appointed Head Girl,  and Harry is appointed Head Boy.
Hermione Granger is happy.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Draco Malfoy isn't to happy that he must return to Hogwarts, but he reminds himself that he should be happier to see Theo and Blaise, although now he must cope with Pansy clinging on to him.
He does well in his subjects, especially in Potions, although with a little bump-in with Hermione Granger as his Potions partner doesn't make him overjoyed.
But he reminds himself that he has changed
Draco Malfoy is, remotely happy.
