In ancient times, the realm of the humans and the realm of Waylandria were interconnected through a series of portals established by an ancient order of magic. But everything changed when a power hungry human with hardly any aptitude for magic attempted to chant the words of a complicated Waylandrian spell tome, accidentally infecting himself with an ancient and powerful force of magic, turning him into the first of many, many vampires. As he spread the curse throughout eastern Europe, humans requested help of the Waylandrian governments, and rounded up as many vampires as they could. On the way to Waylandria, the prisoners broke free, spreading the curse throughout the realm and corrupting the portals with their dark magic. It took the last of Waylandria's Ancient Ones to close the portals... well, all the portals except one, that is. A book called the Blood Tome, which found its way to little earthling Ally, a tired and overworked museum curator with little happiness in life. As she reads, she is transported to a now corrupt world, and she, along with a band of rebels, armed only with magic, strong will, and determination, must now defeat the plague of the Dhampir Empire which has spread across the world, and save Waylandria from the ancient curse. Ally is thrown into a whirlwind of fear, terror, and a budding romance she never expected. Can she bring back peace to the once utopian kingdom?
