Sixteen year-old Mackenzie White goes on vacation with her obnoxious, huge family to Ocean Beach, San Francisco, California one summer. There, she meets a boy who will not only make her temper rise constantly, but will also give her the summer she could never forget.
Both being outcasts, they reach what Mackenzie interprets as an immediate understanding. But to Him... It's something much scarier. To Him it's not the fear of falling in love, it's the fear of loosing the love to fall into.
It's one summer. Will they both survive it? Will they fall into love? Or something else entirely?
