"No! You don't walk away!" He stops me and turns me to face him. "Let go of me!" I snap back as I remove my wrist from his grasp. "What are you so damn afraid of?!" He yells. "You!" I finally admit. "I have never in my life felt this way about anybody. I have never even felt it from anyone. It fucking terrifies me and I know I sound crazy, but I don't know if I can accept this." I tell him while fighting back tears. "I'm terrified too. I don't know where we are going to be in five years, ten, or even fifty. But I do know I want to be with you. I don't want anybody else. I've never wanted someone so bad as much as I do you." He tells me as he holds my face and leans our foreheads touching. "I love you Evie." ~ I put my foot down and drive to the first corner. The track is always wet at the start of the day as the water truck is able to go out and keep it that way, but by the end of the day all the water will have been used so it will be bone dry and that's when the real fun begins. I pull the hydro, the chrome shaft that's connected to my rear brakes, to lock the rear wheels so I can initiate a drift. I feather the throttle accordingly as to keep the car sideways and continue onto the next corner... This is it. Nothing else matters. Just me, my car, their car and the sound of tyres tearing rubber against the drying tarmac... ~ ~ "Laurie, you got something..." He trails off as his thumb brushes my lips enough to turn my head towards him. Before I know it, the space between us is closing and my body is frozen. His lips draw ever closer to mine and involuntarily, my back arches so my mouth presses against his. My lips burn with passion as I find myself unable to stop kissing him. My rational side kicks in and I pull myself away from him. What the hell am I doing? ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Laurie Williams is a wreck of a woman. Alcoholism and not giving a damn are her two main personality traits. However, when her tightly knit friend group of girl car enthusiasts find a car club to become a part of, she starts to come to life. For a moment, she leaves her old life behind. But it always finds her again. On a downward hill spiral from the beginning, she loses friendships, relationships and even herself. The only thing keeping her afloat is her love for cars. "But tell me the truth, would you have come if you were staying longer?" She smiles widely and I mimic her. "Depends, would you continue acting like an asshole?" I chuckle. I know she will never let that go, and weirdly it brings me joy because that means that she will never forget the day we met. And I don't want her to forget it because it is forged forever in my mind. I am bound by that day, but if I am bound, she should be too. I want us to be bound forever by that day. "Maybe. Depends if you will text me this time." "Then maybe." With a grin on my face, I reply, "Maybe is good enough for now." A lie. Truly, maybe is not enough, but I will wait for her forever if it is necessary. I barely know her, but I want her to like me at least a portion of how much I like her because her mere presence makes me happy, and I believe I have the same effect on her. ------------------------------- Two pressured souls to succeed, longing for love. Growing up in Fort Collins, Colorado, being a biker was definitely not uncommon. In fact, if you didn't have one member of your family own a motorcycle, you probably weren't from there. Elizabeth (Liz) Collins wasn't a stranger to the speed of life. Her family owned a Motorcycle shop and her brother won every race he signed up for. So when he loses one, she's all the more intrigued by who he's lost to. Jason Morris was very keen to let people know who he was in his new town now that he'd moved in with his father. More specifically, he wanted to prove himself to his Motorcycle Club as the newest Prospective Member. Step one: beat Eric Collins in a motorcycle race. Complete. Recap from book1: I am Charlotte, I moved in with my farther and his new family. I become close with my step-brother and his best friend. I done a stupid thing, I fell for the best friend and now I had to tell him about my past. I asked Ryan (Step-brothers best friend) to learn me how to street race even though I'm already good at it. I had a brother before and he was becoming the best racer there was but the top racers didn't like it so they pushed him and his car of the bridge and was reported dead. After my brothers death my mother died leaving me with my farther and his family. I am now visiting Ryan in the hospital everyday as he is in a coma because of me. I also had to go to a funeral as my best friend died also because of me. I have people after me but the main person is 'KING' I don't know who he/she is all I know is that there out kill and they wont stop until they find me.
