Broken Boy

Reed is a 15 year old boy, he lives on an island with his family and a few other families. Reed has a spinal cord injury that causes the nerves in his legs to spasm when he walks for a long period of time, making him unsteady on his feet, unfortunately his injury is unfixable, something he calls broken.

Allen is also a 15 year old boy and is part of one of the families that are vacationing on the island, looking to move there. Allen is unaware of Reed's condition and often finds Reed standing in the water, not looking at slightest bit out of normal. Although Allen gets the idea of why Reed is unsteady, he doesn't necessarily believe him.

The boys get along in front of their parents and elders, but when left alone the boys are at each other necks.

Until one day.
