The average day at our high school went like this: ID checks at the door, strange noises from the woods behind our school, and 5 blocks a day, 88 minutes each. But today, something changed. There were now 10 blocks that were 45-48 minutes, but no one could explain why. It was strange, but I tried to forget about it, thinking the school changed its hours. Even so, I couldn't get this new change out of my thoughts all day. On the way out, two teachers stopped me from leaving. When I expressed my anger, they just told me to keep quiet and go to my dorm. While climbing the stairs sullenly, a thought came to me; was this an alternate universe? No, my mind whispered. They don't exist, obviously. But the thought kept coming into my thoughts. Was this an alternate universe? Or was it all just some crazy dream I was having, that would go away as soon as I awoke? Credits to one of my friends for this prologue

FINISHED It was a dark winter's morning. My family and I went for a walk. I was five, now I'm fifteen. They say, "The longer someone's missing, the less likely they're coming back." This day, ten years ago my eight year old brother was standing right in front of me. Every time I come back here I can feel his presence. Like he's everywhere but nowhere. But every time the police question me, I tell them the same thing. "What I say is what they say, what I do is what they do and how I think is how they think." "Who are they?" The police ask me. I say, "... the witnesses."
