Peaches

"Hi, I'm Naila. I live next door, and, well, um," she stopped, and an unnaturally red tint glazed over her skin. She turned away, swearing to herself.

She tried to be discreet by muttering and turning away, but she didn't do too good of a job, so I caught a couple of words from what she was saying. After she was done, she turned towards me, significantly less red.

There was an eerie fire in her eyes, and she bluntly asked, "Do you want these?"
I looked back down at the tupperware she was holding. I knew that it was customary for neighbors to bring in food when someone moved in. Our family did it all the time back in Ohio. But, it was a bit odd to bring...
