Devyn Palmer never really fit into her family. Her grandmother and father were pillars when resettling the living in Houston while battling the undead. Her brother became one of the top protectors at the age of sixteen. While, Devyn sat in a research lab, staring at infected blood samples and contemplating the meaning of being alive. She did not mean to become involved in an undead and partially undead activist group. Devyn did not mean to find the treatment of failed vaccinated beings brutish.
So, she silently watches the world around her, unsure of what to do. But, now, looking into her brother's red eyes, she wonders, "Ah shit, what do I have to do to keep his dumbass safe?"

The 'things' are as you would call it zombies but of greater skill. They disguise themselves as humans yet they will not hesitate to kill you and eat you. If someone is a 'thing', automatically presume them dead, or at least soon to be dead. It will always take about 2 weeks to become fully changed, hopefully you can chop of that body part in time for the infection to stop. If you can't, put an end to your soon to be painful and horrible turn/death. These beings as I announced only a moment ago, look exactly like a human, two way to tell if they are one or not, their attitude and their eyes. They don't have emotions, only hunger and let me tell you, they will go out of their way to eat you, they will speak but it will sound different... Deformed almost. The eyes are usually the first to become infected, they become slightly red at first, as time progresses so does the intensity of the color red in the eye. SOOO we obviously didn't make the deadline lol. This story is unfinished and will remain that way. This is the best example of a rushed concept with no actual plot lol. I wrote blind and hated most of what I had written. I've redesigned this concept and I'm rewriting it with a stronger concept and a laid-out plot. I will release the rewrite when it's done.
