At the end of The Vampire Diaries somehow Vicki Donovan wakes up on the first day of school in 2009.

Set to repeat the past she hopes to change it in anyway that she possibly can, for the better. That means keeping both herself and her brother safe and finding a way to fight against vampires, witches, ghosts and other forms of evil.

Besides, she doesn't want to die. Not again.
