At Lake Wish there is a rumor going around that every few years a murder happens, some say a vampire is the murderer. Emma and her family go there on vacation to enjoy summer. Little do they know about the rumored murders or the things that go on in the background of the lake's events. When Emma's new friend becomes a possible target it takes her and her new friends to try and figure out who the murderer is before it's too late. However something feels all too familiar with one of the permanent residents there but she can't place anything with it.

It has been a stressful year for Rain who has struggled to keep up with the workload during her first year of marine biology at University. Now that summer has finally arrived, she can look forward to a long anticipated break and spend time with her friends enjoying one of their favourite pastimes - swimming in the Loch! Summer solstice arrives and they all decide to go swimming in the Loch to celebrate decent weather for once! Rain jumps in first, revelling in the warm but surprisingly cool water. As she surfaces, the summer weather has disappeared and she discovers her friends' lifeless bodies floating next to her. But how could this happen to strong swimmers in a shallow loch with no currents? The investigation commences and it's clear the police are struggling to find answers. Radically they suggest calling in special advisors to assist the investigation - the Paranormal Investigation Team (PIT). Will they fare better than the local police force? This isn't the first unexplained death to occur in this spot, after all this is the same loch where three children were discovered floating dead in the Loch during a game of hide and seek at a birthday party. Rain knows that supernatural forces don't exist. But no living person could have done this. In between dealing with the secrets and dynamics of being a werewolf, the totally not cliche grudge between the vamps and werewolves, being the potential next murder victim of a mysterious and possibly non-human killer, and a hottie with fangs that she sometimes kind of wanted to make out with and other times wanted to rip his throat out, Lila was definitely going to have a totally normal, average life in this new town.Complete
