"How many of them know about any of this?" he asked. The demigod shifted uncomfortably. "None." "Exactly." "Really?" Will asked. "Not even Annabeth?" Percy shrugged. "Look, those bruises don't come from nowhere," Apollo said. "Whatever happened to you had to have been serious." "It was. It was messed up," Will interrupted, laughing darkly. Percy shot him a glare. They were supposed to be playing this down, not making it worse. ------ "What," Percy scoffed, "and I'm just supposed to trust you?" ++You don't have a choice. A magic talking book with all your secrets written out like a YA novel appears and starts ordering you around, and you're not going to listen to it?++ To that, he didn't have an answer. ++Kid, I am your god++ Percy deadpanned.
