As daughter of King Cináed Mac Alpin of the Picts, Síofra ingen Cináeda had responsibilities placed upon her shoulders that she wanted to be rid of. Thought to be a bastard child and nuisance, there were no liberties when it came to her upbringing and what was expected from her in life.

Dedication.

Loyalty.

But Síofra knew these things were not freely given. They were earned. So after escaping from her father's estate while he was away at war with the western Picts, Síofra set out on a journey to free herself from the chains of her birth. She sought hope in a world ravaged by war and greed. She never expected to find her freedom in bravery and love.
