Violet Rosha is living her best life in San Diego.
She goes to St. Scripps High, one of the best schools around.
Violet's school life is awesome, but what about her home life?
Her mom and dad divorced years after she was born.
Violet switched houses every week to see each parent, but something changed.
Her dad had moved to Washington, the place where everything is cold and wet.

After ruckus and hellfire, her parents decided she can go and visit her dad whenever.
After July, all she wanted to do was leave.
July was the reason, Violet Rosha doesn't go to St. Scripps.

She is switching schools officially. She is switching to some laid back school in Washington, a place where vampire rumors are spread.

And she hates it even more than St. Scripps.

"I didn't think that the first night at my new college would end with me getting my back broken. And not in the fun way. I'm kind of annoyed about it. Not how I wanted to kick this year off. I got into my dream school, University of Miami. Big change from New York but I've loved this school since I found out what college was. I was looking forward to this for a while. I had decided to spend my first two years at a nearby community college to get my pre rec classes out of the way and save money. It was definitely a good idea, but the vibe of the school was: go to class, go home, and that's it. So to get to a big university I was excited for that cliche "college experience." I was excited to get shitfaced at a frat party, hookup with random guys, join a sorority and probably regret it. It's where you're gonna make the most mistakes, I mean it's the first time most people have complete, or almost complete freedom. Every adult ever always told me "college is where you're supposed to find yourself" and I was really hoping that would reign true. To kick the year off I wanted to have a fun night out with my new roommates who weirdly didn't have any social media so I was moving in with no prior knowledge of these two other than their names Victoria Brooks and Chloe Whitlock. I wanted to get to know them and get to know the area I'd be living in for the next two years. So it was pretty inconvenient for this shit to happen on the first fucking night." * * * * * Morgan Sinclair had expectations for her junior year at her new college: parties, roommates, clubs, friends, even classes and assignments. Among those expectations, was not: finding out about the existence of vampires and the fact that she is one. After one *almost* fatal night out she's forced to navigate a whole new reality. Vampires, lycans, a psychopathic father, betrayal, and blood- and it'll all take her away from everything and everyone she's ever known.

Violet Fortune is not your ordinary seventeen-year-old; for one, her parents were murdered when she was five years old. Her uncle Vladimir took her in and has led her to believe that Vampires murdered her parents. With this anger, Vlad trains her to be a slayer; and not just any slayer, but one of the best. Eleven years have passed since the murder. Due to Violet making a mistake when hunting a vampire, Vlad was forced to pack everything up and move away to Fairfield Connecticut. Violet, on instinct, searched through some unpacked boxes and found two photos of her parents. The two photos showed the same image of her dead parents, except in one it looked as if their bodies were drained of blood, and the other looked like their death was caused by a human. With this new found discovery Violet questions her whole life. Violet, with the help of friends she made along the way, start to put the pieces together to solve the murder of her parents. As Violet and the friends get closer to the truth, the more dangerous it becomes; revealing secret pasts about the people they know. Returning to the scene of the murder, meeting new people along the way, Violet struggles to put it all together, and what she discovers makes one question humanity.
