Regulus Black is certain. He knows what he must do;

He must keep the Horcrux a secret, and he must face death in the hopes of bringing down his master.

Unless there's another option. One that will keep his head above water and the memories running through the mind of another.

Sirius Black too, is certain. He knows who he can trust;

He would trust James Potter over any other, trusts Remus and Peter just the same. (Alright, maybe he'd had some suspicions about Remus, but none that he'd admit.)

Until his little brother is there, cracking open his closest friendships and forcing him to re-evaluate what he knows and what he wants.

The Day the Music Died | Jegulus, Wolfstar

34 parts Complete

"You look like a painting, Reg," whispered James, genuine adoration plastered in every inch of his face. "Is that a good thing?" Regulus knitted his eyebrows together, a subtle smile curling his lips. "Definitely." A romance hidden under the horrors of the war, where kids fought with more pride than adults, where they didn't lose faith even when everything seemed lost. This story takes place in Hogwarts' 7th year. Regulus is Sirius' younger brother, exactly one year behind them, James couldn't expect that an innocent talk in the astronomy tower would lead to fall for him hopelessly, and neither did the young Black. But love doesn't stop time, nor does it save people. It's like a beautiful scarlet rose, as its petals fall, it dies. When that letter found its way to my hands, the music died.
