The Orphanage

Lily was found on the doorstep of Weatherton's Home for Orphans when she was just a baby, with nothing but a small slip of paper that had her name and birth date on it tucked into the box she was in. Twelve long years of grief and horrible meals awaited her, except this was no normal orphanage: It was not run by nuns or religious people, and it was sealed off from the rest of the world by huge mountains that surrounded the local village, lake, camping grounds, river, swimming whole, and of course, the home for homeless children itself.
But one night, at the half-moon, the mist that protected the valley for centuries disappears, and a group of explorers tread on land where they should have never walked, and Lily finds herself caught in between her friends and home, and the intrigue of the outside world that seems to be calling to her...
