At the young age of 4, after discovering he was quirkless, Y/N L/N was disowned and abused by his parents. One night after "getting rid" of them, Y/N ran away, hiding in a field of tall grass. When a meteor crashed down next to Y/N, he found the symbiotes. They explained what they were doing there and bonded with him as he ran away and was soon taken under the pro hero Iron Man's wing, sort of like a second father to him.

Years later, at the age of 16, Iron Man enrolled Y/N into the prestigious Japanese school, U.A High. Y/N planned to take this seriously, but after seeing the most beautiful girl he had ever laid eyes on, he knew this wasn't gonna be easy. And that girl was Kyoka Jirou.
