Levi Ackerman already knew the risks when taking upon this mission. He knew what was at stake and what could go wrong. And yet, he still took upon the task to survey their enemy's lands in hopes of gaining a new perspective. 

However, not everything is served to you on a silver platter. Within Marleyan lands Eren Jaeger disappeared the second day they arrived. Only a letter had assured them his well-being. 

Only, Levi can't fathom the idea of him running around recklessly in enemy lands. Eren is valued, vital to their plans. He possessed the power of the Founding Titan after all.

But time was running out and so was their chance of finding Eren. If Levi pushes too far then he and his comrades will end up with bigger targets on their backs. 

But what if he strikes up a deal with a helpless heiress? What if Isabella Klein can grant him the very thing he desires? Time. 

He just needed to play a part in the ridiculous charade of Isabella's life. Not hard, right? Except the moment they met wasn't exactly a miracle. 

She was Marleyan and he was Eldian-nothing about this was a pretty miracle. But merely a coincidental encounter with their foundation built upon a single lie. And this very lie, it can burn everything to the ground.
