An expert in rare and banned books is approached by a fan in a restaurant. They discuss a cult author, Carla Raposo, who published two banned books but over 150 years apart. 
Raposo has gone down in literary history as 'The Writer who Died Twice'. 
The fan is shot immediately after leaving. Her killers trying to steal her case. When the police finally allow the expert to leave the restaurant, he discovers a book has been left among his papers.
