Drewbuck Palace: Year One

Drewbuck School of Summoners and Sumstrices is a British Summoning Boarding school teaching the soul-born summoning arts, located in far southern Ontario, Canada. The precise location of the school can never be uncovered because it has been rendered Unplottable. Children with magic in their souls may be enrolled at birth and acceptance is confirmed by Squirrel post at age thirteen.

Snow Dover has never played in sports, never been on a team. He’s never been part of a club or been good at particularly anything. And he’s certainly has never heard of a Summon. All Snow knows is his horrible, miserable life with the rich and alcohol-loving Cornways, his abusive aunt and uncle, and his spoiled, piggish cousin, Westley. Snow’s room is in the butler’s dorms and his birthday hasn’t been celebrated in 12 years by anyone except his roommate, Cornelius.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by squirrel. A wonderful letter with an invitation to a marvelous place he never would have imagine existed. There, he not only finds true friends, as well as enemies, but a great destiny that awaits him. . . If Snow can survive the encounter.
