"What are those!?"
The demon was looking at something behind her. She turned around but saw nothing.
"I mean the w-w- things on your back"
"You mean my babies!" Her voice rose to a high-pitched note on the last word. "These are Ravens X5 the latest generation of technological wings. Their battery can last for a whole month and can be recharged using water, sunlight or, you will never believe this, stardust. You can fly in the sky and even in space without them crushing under the pressure. Oh, and it gets better."
"I don't it does." The demon murmured and clutched his necklace.
She ignored him and announced triumphantly, "they only weight 2 kg each !" She continued to ramble on and on.
The demon expanded his wings and touched them. He had made they hadn't turned into metallic piece of junk.
Wings were sacred.
He took off.
Who is the angel and who is the demon, he wondered for the umpteenth time since the beginning of their journey

"This is an Angel girl named Maisie Lark. She hasn't ever stepped foot into the 'real world'. Attempting to break the lock is useless and I have the key. I've extended the olive branch. Maisie's your motive. Come find me when you're ready." Cecilia Star has been alive long enough to know what it's like to be a demon in the human realm, but she's also been alive long enough to cope with her everyday life. But when she wakes up handcuffed to a strange Angel she's never met before, she's thrown for a loop. Cecilia assumes it's all just one big, extremely cruel prank by the twins in order to rile her up and test her limits. After all, Maisie is everything that Cecilia would rather leave behind her, determined, opinionated, and so very clearly wrong. But it doesn't take Cecilia and Maisie long to realize that the handcuff prank is a little more than just a lighthearted joke. The thing about Demon metal is that it is a fickle thing. It can only be unlocked by the person who has the key and no matter what method is used, it cannot be broken. Cecilia would rather just forget the whole thing, refuse to give Ezekiel the satisfaction he so wants, and remain handcuffed to Maisie for the rest of her life. It doesn't take long to realize that it's just not possible. Maisie is everything that she shouldn't be in the human realm. Bigoted, rude, and annoyingly difficult. She can't even get close to Cecilia without making some sort of remark on how she can't stand Demons. As the time ticks down and options become less and less, maybe being handcuffed to each other will teach Cecilia and Maisie a thing or two about themselves. Maybe running from the past isn't the right choice and perhaps, maybe even a Demon and Angel could fall in love too. (Entered in the Open Novella Contest 2022 under prompt 79. "I know you're a virgin but have you never been touched?" He asked, sliding his other hand down onto her leg. "What makes you say that?" Kat breathed, bracing her hands on the counter. "You react like someone who's never felt another's touch," Nex whispered, slipping his thumb under the band of her shorts. "So, have you not?" Kat opened her mouth to speak but stopped when his hand slid up from her leg, gliding up her stomach and stopping just below her breast. "Not even here?" He asked, following the curve of her breast with one finger, not touching, staying just below as he dragged it back and forth. "What about here?" He asked, sliding his hand down from her ribs to the bottom of her shorts then around to her butt, fingers nearly grazing it as he inched them up, under her pajamas. "I can say with certainty, never here," he said, lowering his other hand under the waistband of her shorts, touching the top of her underwear. "No, you've definitely never felt that before. I can hear your heart racing, I can feel your breathing, I can smell your body responding like it's never experienced these sensations before," he whispered, sliding a finger just underneath the band. Lawson's Tragedy by LunaMarieWolf
6 parts Ongoing Mature
(Edited Excerpt From Chapter 1) Lawson's brows furrow in anger as he inhales, setting down the useless utensil. His arms stretch above his head, his bones cracking as his wings spasm, his groan echoing down the halls. He pulls his bag into his lap, the sienna hide contrasting happily against the azure gown on his frame. He pulls it open swiftly, a hand disappearing into it as he digs for another quill. A midnight feather taps the book in front of him, the boy freezing in place. The unsettling figure loomed over him, the energy of the being closing the air off in his lungs, his wings tightening around the chair immediately. He dare not look up, for the energy of the person made the hair stand up all over his body. His mind screamed to run, to get away from what- or whoever was offering up a worn quill to the lower-ranking angel. The boy hesitated, his eyes fixated on the inky black quill in front of him, the color so dark it consumed the light around it. He willed his lungs to draw in air, his eyes daring to look up at the intruder, but it was soon stolen a second time. Piercing emerald eyes peer down at the boy, his expression hard and unkind as a stray midnight strand of hair falls in front of his face. His skin is a lovely light olive tone, his skin etched with scars, some new and some still crusted with fresh blood. His wings stand at half-furl, the boy's eyes quickly wandering to them. The inky black feathers seem to twitch in annoyance, silver tendrils of metal reflecting the only light the wings did not consume. * * * * * * * * Lawson knows he should not get intertwined with an angel above his rank, but somehow life keeps tying the two together. Through war, love, loss, and hatred, will Lawson bend to the terrors tossed into his once peaceful life, or will he overcome the darkness and turn into the angel everyone should have feared?

Its only until she touches the wings that she realises that they are very much real. Within an instant, Mira's life is turned upside down. Knowing now that angels and demons are real and have been living amongst humans on earth for decades, she decides she needs to learn more about them and about the sight that she was gifted by this mysterious angel, Jenziel. With Lucifer's demons hunting her down, time is running out for Mira. If Lucifer get his hands on her, he will use her to spawn more advanced demons. Can the fallen keep her and the rest of the mortals safe? Excerpt: "So, are you planning on telling me what happened in the city with the demons, or do I have to tempt Kazier into a make out session to get some answers?". Azriel used his annoying angel gift and speed walked me to the bathtub. The back of my knees hit the tub with a thud and I stumbled back into a seating position on the edge of the tub. I was leaning back uncomfortably and gasped in disbelief, nearly about to fall into the tub and hurt myself and grabbed onto the only I could; the band of his pants. Azriel's eyes dropped to where my fingers were gripping onto and slowly, he snaked his vision up to me. I watched him for a few seconds until he seemed to have snapped out of his thoughts. "You will do no such thing, you hear me? You will not try to entice Kazier". I shivered when he spoke, his breath tickling my face. I bit my tongue from refraining to say anything to upset him further but failed miserably. "Maybe...maybe I don't even have to try...".
