I ask as I look up towards what used to be Connors desk but is now his. "Yes, lieutenant Anderson?" He answers facing towards me instead of the computer monitor. "Two things. First, please call me Y/n, I really don't want to be called 'lieutenant Anderson', that's my dad, not me." I start, trying to ignore the pang of pain that courses through my heart at hearing my dads title, meant for me instead of him. "That contradicts with my orders, so simply, I can not do that Lieutenant Anderson." He says, using the exact words I wish he wouldn't.

When the disorienting sensation passed, he found himself in a new city, its peaceful sight starkly different from the chaos he'd just experienced. He glanced back, but the portal had vanished before he had the chance to react. "What am I supposed to do now?" Kai wondered, as he surveyed the unfamiliar surroundings.
