The feared Crimson King
I flinch as his hand reaches to my face, and aggressively pulls down the cloak from my head. He surveys my tear stained face and jewelry all the way down to my dress. Then he speaks, "what's your name?" I open my mouth but no words come out. Fear grips me again. "I believe I asked you a question," his eyes grow darker. "Al-Alice" I whisper. His eyes wander outside to the window. "You will address me as 'your highness' and I do not tolerate mistakes. I will punish you and you will never forget to follow my orders. The Adventures of Cuphead and Mugman!
This is a retelling of the hit indie game "Cuphead". It tells the story of Cuphead and Mugman, two brothers who live in the mystical Inkwell Isles. While exploring, the boys stumble upon the Devil's Casino. They have a good run of luck, but then the Devil himself shows up and strikes them a deal: if they win, they get the whole casino, but if they lose, the Devil takes their souls. Cuphead blindly accepts--and loses! The Devil takes pity on the poor mugs and gives them a task: collect the soul contracts of his debtors in two days. Will they collect all the souls in time, or will the Devil take their own?! The Delicious Last Course takes place a week after the rest of the series. The Legendary Chalice, who prefers to be called Alice Chalice, takes our cup boys to her home, the mysterious DLC Island. One of her friends, Chef Saltbaker, has come up with a recipe for a Wondertart that'll turn Alice corporeal again, and she needs their help getting the ingredients from some fearsome foes. Will they be able to get the ingredients and make the Wondertart? Sure, you might have heard this story before if you've played the game, but I'm trying to put my own spin on this, y'know, fleshing out the plot and characters more. I really enjoy writing this, and I hope you enjoy reading it. I do not own Cuphead, only this interpretation of it and the character Candy Camera. Cover art by DeviantArt user thatonegalaxygirl. I have also borrowed a few lines from Indeimaus, Slimecicle, Vine, and tamago2474, among other places.Concluida
