Jade is a wondering mercenary, with a shady past. Cynical, alcoholic, relentless, and fearless, with a uncanny skill in swordsmanship. Jade home is the road, and her friends are the swords on her back. She doesn't believe in the good of people, to her everyone is out for their own personal agenda. Her day usually begins with a drink or two and ends with a severe hangover and she liked her life just the way it is.

Unfortunately, her life changed when a woman dressed in a black cape appeared, asking for her assistances. Her proposition was simple; protect her child for one year, and she would pay Jade ten million yins. This child was different, but was special the right word for it? She doesn’t know what compelled her to accept the woman's offer, but she did and thus a journey of a lifetime was born.

Now she must fight off countless attackers, her past skills coming into play. Watching every corner, she must thread carefully. A group called the Black Assassins, hunting for the child, and the head of the warrior who took her. So many questions piled up inside Jade's head and now she is forced to live the life she had tried so hard to get away from; running back into old friends and nemeses, and even a old flame who is out for her head. Jade must piece together the truth if she wants to save the child and herself.

The Black Assassins aren't the only one looking for the child, the Liberators are in search for her as well. Rather there friend or foe is up to Jade to figure out.
