It's been about a year since the thirteen of them woke from the living hell that was the Killing Game. Ever since, they've been living together in a strange new world where their old memories are next to meaningless. After the killing game, Kokichi ends up isolated. Nobody speaks to him, nobody sees him. It's a year and a half later that Saihara speaks to him. Kokichi starts to recover from his untreated pain/trauma. That is until an accident and a misunderstanding makes everyone against him once more. Who'll save him from himself now that he's alone?

Disclaimer;; This fanfiction has spoilers for all of Danganronpa V3. Also may contain blood and gore in wording, which is why I put the mature tag. I will not be writing smut in this because Kokichi and Kaito are minors and I do not want to write that content for them 💕 Kokichi Oma has always come off as mischievous rascal, playing pranks right and left. Though in the killing game, he always had good intentions. He was fearful of his friends dying, but played it off as a fun killing game. He didn't want to be boring, after all. But a love interest served to show him as weak. He had fallen for the luminary of the stars, Kaito Momota. A man who always believes in you, no matter who you are. Kokichi didn't get it! He did all these bad things, yet.. Kaito still believed in him. Kaito was strong willed, and also idiotic. He made Kokichi laugh. Yet Kokichi still always gave him a hard time, it was a way to show his love. But this wouldn't last forever.

The 53rd class of Hopes Peak Academy find themselves is quite the situation, when the 77th class blows up part of the building. The world's biggest, most awful, most tragic event in human history started that day, due to that specific class. Well, that's what everyone thought at first. That was until Kokichi Ouma, the Ultimate Supreme Leader, reveals himself as a traitor, having lied about all his intentions. He had never cared about the others, but was merely acting. *Lying*. He was an Ultimate Despair, second to that of Junko Enoshima. But is that really the truth of the matter? A/N Hey, so I came up with this idea a long time ago, and I just decided to write it because I don't have much else to do. It's just a 'what if' scenario if Kokichi had been a Remnant of Despair, really. There might be some shippy stuff, I don't really know. If that's what people want, I wouldn't be against it or anything. I'm just, really bad at romance lmao. And also this'll be prey family friendly, with just some swearing. Because tbh I really, REALLY hate fan service based things? Yeah, that's not the correct term, but I'm pretty sure you can realize what I'm talking about. Everyone knows how Danganronpa v3 ended, yes? Only three survivors remained. Everyone else has perished....including Kokichi Oma. But what if that changed? What if Kokichi was given a chance to change things? That he alone has a chance to save all sixteen students, including himself? What if he was chosen to save everyone? Will he take this responsibility seriously? Will he try to make amends and save everyone? Or will be remain the same ruthless and malicious liar he is? (Notes: There will be many shippings. There will be dark themes. There will be thousands of tears. And worst of all....spoilers. Danganronpa v3 fans: I hope you are prepared for this rollercoaster, cause we're holding on till the end!)

Instead of Nagito catching the despair disease, what if Hajime caught it... *spoilers for Danganronpa V2 (obviously), this takes place in chapter 3 and beginning of chapter 4* (I do not own anything except the plot of this fanfiction)
