Her voice was melody, her walk was rythmic, her gestures were smooth, her hair danced on the wind. She "was" the literal definition of "perfect". The amount of love she received "was" balanced with hate. She "was" a strong lady. But there is only so much that heart of hers "was" able to handle. A "one-sided love relationship".
