Childe has a sadistic side and he uses Kaeya to satisfy it. Childe actually dates Zhongli but he thinks its okay to "hook up" with Kaeya because he truly loves Zhongli but only sees Kaeya as a satisfaction to his own needs he pushed aside long ago, to do not harm the person he loves the most.
