A collection of stories, revolving around a hungry forest and demonic bear.

Part one: An old man, hated and feared by his village spent his entire life taking up the burden his father left for him. Protecting the village from evil so vile, it required constant torment to keep contained. Stoically taking up his cross, he protected his home for decades. But at what cost?

Part two: A witty and charismatic archeologist stumbles across a haunting village, abandoned and being overtaken with roots from the forest close by. Inside the forest, an empty cage was covered in mysterious markings. Forsaking his original task, he redirects his life to finding the truth about the village and the markings.

The first story started with a writing prompt from The Story Shack. Fun fact, I misread "beer" as "bear" and this happened. Whoops.

𝐕𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐗 𝐉𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐯𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧. In a world that screams, I stand in despair, My voice drowned out, lost in the air. Chains of tradition tighten each day, I long to escape, but I'm forced to stay. Each breath I take feels heavy and torn, Every mistake a scar I've worn. I crave a sky where I can be free, Away from the walls that imprison me. For now, I sit with my heart in pain, Silent, yet screaming, again and again. Though shattered, a spark in me still survives, Dreaming of freedom where my soul can rise.
