~He laid his gear in a neat row on the floor in front of him and his pulse quickened in anticipation. He knows exactly what a safe dose is. It's his job, after all, and he is nothing if not good at his job. He's a Strand. It's what they do. They excel at their work above and beyond the call of duty. They put out fires in the world around them while burning their own lives to the ground. 

TK was very good at the second part of that. It was the one area in which he was even more proficient than Owen. He was a goddamn prodigy in the art of self-destruction.~

The gang is with him the whole time and tries their hardest to keep him at his best, but Johnny becomes irrational, too unpredictable for the gang to even understand but Johnny doesn't go down alone, he brings someone with him.
