Fifty years have passed and Akedah has survived the first half of her adventure. knowing what she is and has better control over her power, she faces a new and worse problem. The Destroyer and his army. However before she can face that, she is met with one of the Four. He tells her to work with him if she wants to live! One thing for sure she does work with. Soon, she starts to struggle with one of life's confusing emotions, Love. Akedah learns that maybe Death isn't what many say he is, but before she could even properly learn, he leaves to finish his own mission. She ponders on what to do next or how to do it , unfortunately she's not given much time to think what needs to be done. Instead she is imprisoned by one of the men of the Destroyer for fifty more years! This is a story of betrayal and regret, yet not at the same time. Akedah must consider her new alliance with the Rider of the Red Horse, War, before she can trust him. She acts almost childish towards his Watcher given her distrust towards the creature. War is confused about her actions and decisions, but he soon learns why she's like this or rather WHY she acts like it.

"She was all broken edges. He was all warm light. And somehow, they fit." After a traumatic past she keeps buried, Delilah "Lilah" Sinclair is just trying to survive her final years at Tommen. With a sharp tongue, hidden scars, and no intention of letting anyone in, love is the last thing on her mind. Until Patrick Feely crashes into her world-loud, charming, infuriatingly persistent, and everything she swore she'd never want. As the lines between enemies and something more begin to blur, Lilah is forced to face the darkness she's run from for years. With the help of unexpected friendships, late-night heart-to-hearts, and a boy who sees right through her walls, Lilah learns that maybe healing isn't about forgetting-it's about finding someone who stays. A slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers romance full of angst, banter, found family, and hope. Welcome to Tommen.
