Absquatulate; to leave without saying goodbye. 

**What the hell was Elijah supposed to do when he falls into a puddle, and into another timeline? 1862, or the year during the civil war, which was in fact 140 years into the past. Well apparently, he was going to fall in love with the general.**

Elijah doesn't live the best life, often leaving his house when his dad gets angry so he doesn't have to face his fists. 
It's one of those times, when he stupidly decides to trek through the woods instead of go anywhere else, that he happens to fall into a puddle- and straight into another timeline. He meets a blond general, falls in love, and learns of his death all in the span of months. 

When he winds up back in his timeline, he's forced to move out of his father's care and into a foster family in Forks, Washington. 

Elijah is prepared to face a lot of things, but he sure as hell doesn't expect to see the face of the one he witnessed die over 100 years ago.
