Jk~"Why?"
"I don't want you to see..." Her eyes shut tight. "The scars. The stitches. What he-"
"They're ugly," she whispered, turning her face away. "You're not supposed to see them."
He caught her chin between his thumb and forefinger, forcing her to look at him."Ugly?"
His voice was a dark rasp. "Scars aren't flaws. They're proof you survived. Proof you're real. And right now, nothing on this earth is more beautiful to me than everything you are ..Don't you dare hide from me.I swear, they're mine to erase now."
She shivered, unable to hold his gaze. "Don't-don't say that."
He leaned closer to her "Look at me. Every time you think of those scars, you're thinking of him. I'm going to tear that out of you."
He pressed his forehead to hers again, voice breaking into a vow "Leave the lights on. I want to see all of you ...especially the parts you think you have to hide. That's the part I will love the most."
"Every doubt. Every ugly word. Every lie he carved into you, I will make sure they are gone. When you think of your scars, you'll think of my hands covering them & my mouth worshipping them."
