A retelling of R Mead's Vampire Academy. Using VAFanFicLover's one shot of How They Escaped to start, I really hope I did you justice :)

'I made direct eye contact with the man standing beside it. He was in range that if I chucked something at him, it'd hit him, but I knew he'd be able to deflect it in a heartbeat. I knew who he was and why he was here, and that made me sober up the last of the endorphins.'

The cabin would never happen, but Rose might have heard from Mason about the Strigoi attack sooner. No Strigoi Dimitri. Tatiana lives. Romitri happy ending. Told from Rose's POV (mostly). We won't get into the Mature content rating for at least the first few chapters, but I am hoping to have a nice suitable replacement for the cabin scene eventually. Bear with me for the first two chapters where there is a lot of similarities to Richelle Mead's original plot. It will be diverging slowly to something completely different. *A Vampire Academy AU fanfic* An AU fic that branches away from the main storyline during Shadow Kiss: after the cabin, fight, and cave rescue. Dimitri's body isn't there - so he has been turned. Or has he? When he returns, he and Rose make their relationship public. Lissa plans *everybody's* future. Dimitri and Rose kick a** at Rose's trials, Abe, Janine, Art (not dead in this au), Alberta, Kirova, Victoria, Olena support Rose and Dimitri, and Rose realizes that she now has a wonderful family. Romitri fluff, mainly. Rated T for romance, some innuendo; nothing graphic. COMPLETE PS - I am sorry to say that i won't be writing the planned sequels to Coming Home to You or No One Ever Looks Up. I'm not really in the Vampire Academy fandom anymore, much as I love Vampire Academy, and I have too many demands on my time just now to do them justice. This is a different type of story Dimitri still brings Rose & Lissa back from Portland. But that is where almost everything changes very few things are the same. same people and places other than that not much is the same. My first fan fiction please read and be kind. thanks. Ever wondered if there was so much more going on in the Vampire Academy series then we heard? After having read the series so many times, as well as the Bloodlines series (spoilers inside), the short stories released for the anniversary and plenty of fan fictions, this is how I imagine the series should have gone. Book 1 and Book 2 are complete and edited. I will upload Book 3 as I go. I had planned to wait until all 3 were complete and edited, but welcome peoples thoughts and reactions. Enjoy.

Rose and Dimitri reveal their relationship to their friends, then Dimitri does his best to win them over with pizza, a concert, etc. Alberta makes Rose and Dimitri promise to keep their relationship secret, otherwise, at least until Rose graduates/turns 18. Romitri fluff, mainly. Rated T for romance/seduction, nothing explicit. Gets a bit goofy towards the end. COMPLETE. Rose has run away, - again - she couldn't handle Dimitri not loving her. Even after she gave everything to him. Her secrets, her heart, and even her virginity. And now, she has to live with the consequences. Dhampirs can't have kids together, but WHAT IF they could, and did, but Dimitri was oblivious to this? Damon, her son, and Mariah, her daughter, are different though from the rest of vampires. How can her children be in so much danger, and be so innocent? More importantly, why? (OK! I know that dhampirs can't have kids together, but I thought that it would make an interesting story!!!!) - READ, LEAVE COMMENTS ON IF I SHOULD WRITE MORE!
