Kismet (One Piece)

Mischa Vasnev is the acute paragon of happenstance and fortuity - he is an aimless wanderer, stripped of both aspiration and familial value alike. Finding no other method, no other alternative to satisfy his rapidly stagnating skill assets, he resorts employing himself as an apprentice to a feared contract killer with hopes that through such means he might reattain a shred of self-purpose.

All Joycelyn Fischer has ever cared about are beli and information - the latter of which she uses to attain the former. A flailing career as a Marine strategist has never wholly satisfied her tastes; in her desperation she has long since turned to subterfuge and treachery through means of carving out a paltry living for her ailing mother and herself by peddling classified Navy files to the highest-bidding crime lord.

By means of kismet alone, these two differing individuals collide into a discordant harmony of unrelinquished pandemonium and suspense, compelled to take up arms in a grudging alliance as far-lying secrets are unmasked on both sides.
