 A girl was born into a society where people were divided into two major lifestyles: the Royals, and the Commoners, who were poverty-stricken common people who had no money to be royal, nor the capability. 

The Royals were terrified of a certain type of commoners. Those who had colored eyes were not thought to be extravagant or unique, they were seen as monsters, who withheld a curse that no one could control- the Tinted.

And so out of fear, they're thrown into gangs to prevent them from weaving themselves to the top of social class- through curse and monstrosity.
