Maximum Ride is no ordinary girl. She was born in a lab, crafted with avian DNA. And the girl can FLY. She's only 98% human, and the rest of her is bird!

To explain James Patterson's first novel of Maximum Ride, this is the prequel of the 8-book series. It will explain (in my perspective, with many of the details from the author's first book) what happened to Maximum Ride in that lab, of course, in Maximum Ride's words herself.

PLEASE KNOW: This is a work of fiction. Any relation to real people, events, or locations are not intended by the author. Please also know that the author is not intending to plagiarize James Patterson's idea, although it is supposed to be fan fiction, the names are not changed and neither are the events.

"You're different from what I expected," she said softly. "How so?" he asked, glancing at her. "I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare." He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that." OR Y/n wakes up in the deadly Squid Game, surrounded by strangers and fighting to survive. What she doesn't know is that the mysterious Frontman is watching her every move through the cameras- and she's caught his attention.
