Sinq Sayyora (lit: five planets) is an integrated solar system found 350,000 light-years from the centre of the Universe. Its combined might and influence, however, place it firmly at the centre of the Universe's political landscape and economy.
The planets that make up this system - Tamion, Dajs, Kivaria, Achlatan and Raioch - were former enemies, locked in endless war. But another rogue world, drunk with immense power, threatened to erase these five (and about half the Universe) permanently. It took several great heroes from each Sayyoran world to unite in battle, and with last-minute support from the rest of Sayyora, they were able to defeat this new enemy PERMANENTLY.
In the aftermath of this nigh-cataclysmic event the five planets now operate as a single entity, despite irreparable damage to some of these worlds. Raioch, for instance, maintains a permanent link to the Land of the Dead, and is thus instantly fatal to all but those born on its harsh surface.
Some say this alliance is a facade and more akin to a tenuous stalemate...and some further still point to signs of the alliance breaking down...
The head of Gunne Industries (the leading ballistic weapon development firm in the Universe), and patriarch of House Gunne ERIK GUNNE, along with numerous other notable Sayyorans perished recently in a structural failure that claimed 113 lives (and injured hundreds more), sending shockwaves throughout the Universe.
Meanwhile Dajs' ruthless territorial expansion continues at an alarming rate, threatening to tip the balance of power in the favour of a planet with no discernible form of magic.
Finally, while Tamion reels from the calamity that took place on its soil, an ancient religious order that seems to prey on the fears and paranoia of Tamion's citizens grows in power. Will the richest planet in the Universe manage to hold on to the hearts, minds and coffers of its peoples, or will it lose all that and MORE to what is, for all intents and purposes, a cult?
"All cats are grey in the dark."
This is a proverb. It means that in the dark, you can't tell one cat from another. In a figurative sense, it could also mean that someone who has too little information can't properly assess the situation. They can't distinguish between good and evil.
When the Demon King died, the black line separating good and evil was broken. Demons find themselves, demons seek themselves. Demons are evil, demons are good. Demons remain lonely, demons find the family they didn't know they were searching. But how can you tell them apart if you can't see in the darkness? How can you judge whether you're doing the right thing when all you can see is grey? And in the deepest darkness of ignorance, confusion, the darkness of a decline of selfishness and ignorance, only the cats seem to see through the darkness.
This story is a tragedy, just like Demon Slayer. There is an ending. Is it a good one? A bad one? Is the dried cat blood on the ground worth it? Was it all worth it, were the dead, the lost, worth it, just so someone switches the light button on? Was it all worth it when you look around and realize that cat blood is just as crimson as a human's?
...Basically: "What if the hashira didn't fall into the infinity castle?"
