After suddenly moving away while in high school, Matthew and Alfred are finally back in their home town. Ready for college. At least, that was the plan.

Alfred starts to notice that his friendship with Kiku may be a bit strained now. Instead of being the best friends he had always thought they were, Kiku is now spending time with anyone else. Particularly a man named Heracles who seems to follow him around.

Matthew has issues of his own. Trying to avoid his ex at all costs while starting a romance with one of the campus's most eligible bachelors can be pretty exhausting.

Human AU Alfred is finally going to college and he decides to start writing his diary again. But he is in love with an older man, Ivan who has been married for 3 years. Matthew, Alfred's brother goes to college in Canada, and starts to distance himself more and more from his family and things between Francis and Arthur, Alfred and Matthew's divorced parents get tense again. The only person that Alfred can now find comfort in is his roommate Kiku, who has his own problems. Alfred navigates love and friendship and family drama by writing in his diary and listening to music, because sometimes it's better to escape your own reality instead of coming face to face with your actual problems. Cross posting this from ao3 (my ao3 user is STRRGRRL btw, I updtade this fic faster on there.) I expect that you guys know the human names of the main eight, but I will add the other human names of the side characters at the beginning of each chapter.
