Weigh Out Way-In
There is an unexpected turn in the story that drastically changes the course of events and, in the long run, even the lives of those involved. Magpie, the first to be involved, suddenly finds himself in the world so unlike his own. Will he find his place there or will he be at least able to go back home? He seems to find his way back from this new world of giga-dimensions but something unwanted happens, and things go worse. The cultural differences, together with a challenging personality traits of another involved in the events, suck Magpie and his friends into a downward spiral. The story challenges you to see the world differently from the perspective you are perhaps too used to and narrowed by. Life can be an adventure if you don't narrow it with a bigotry that forces you to be rooted in your trenches and behind your dividing walls. This doesn't mean you have to accept others' views without standing your ground. However, to be able to share our lives in this one and only world we need to make compromises, on both sides. Are you the first brave one to set this positive trend in motion? So read on and let the foundation of the story be laid. From the end of episode 1 on, the story really picks up, finally reaching its climax at the end of episode 3 with quite a surprising finish. Your participation in solving this shared challenge of coexistence and cooperation is highly appreciated. Remember those who cooperate make more progress than those who don't! The ideal audience for my first book is actually between 12 and 16, but anybody older and interested in adventures, cultures and in getting more understanding into our multifaceted world is sure to enjoy the story. Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. But little did I know that today was the day that my life would change. It was the day I met her. ---------- A short story. Hey guys! This is my first try writing a pure romance story. She saved her father and the other world wizards and soldiers prisoners from the Dark Castle. Kaye used her power and her father’s reviving necklace to revive from the lava to vanish the Dark Dragon. Because of the mayor's memory ball had appeared her something and in Kaye’s blood, her parent’s blood was mixed. So she thought it for few minutes if she’s powerful to accept or not to accept. What would you do if one second you were struggling to survive with your friends and mother in tow, and then you wake up to find yourself with a group of strangers the next - all during the country's takeover of blood-thirsty zeds? Megan couldn't believe her eyes. Her brain was muddled with confusion she couldn't get rid of, no matter how many times those strangers reassured her and explained what happened. But she had to accept it, even though it didn't make any sense to her. Megan had been with her mother every step of the way since everything turned to chaos, beginning just a year before, and now she was nowhere to be seen. And on top of that, she had the zeds to deal with. Ghastly creatures that used to be human, carrying a virus that's spread through a constant hunger for flesh from the host, spreading through bites and scratches. It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future. It'll only be within the time spent with the new group will she find out that everything's not as happy and welcoming as it had seemed. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in.
