What happens when the life you've spent years trying to build up again, comes tumbling down with three simple words? Maelyn 'Mae' Farefield thought she could start again when her mom was offered a job opportunity in a new city. After finally escaping the confines of the small town that threatened to suffocate her until the day she died, Mae couldn't be happier at her new school and new life. No angry half-sister. No humiliation at school. No whispers while walking down the street. And especially, no brooding boys who do everything in their power to question who she loves. Everything was perfect.
