The council of Galaxia is said to behind anything and everything that happens in the five realms of the living. They control all the worlds problems and try to find all possible solutions. Alas, no mortal eyes other than those of the Rangers of Galaxia, can lay upon them. But when the mountain city of Erebor comes to the attention of the council, not only do they find dragon sickness but also many other problems that may be beyond fixable. The council of Galaxia now purely dependant on the young ranger Athena and her team to fix the problems they predicted. One of those is getting Thorin Oakenshield to destroy the one thing that he wanted most...

After breaking up a fight between Thorin and another man, Seren Gilwynn vowed to watch over the dwarf prince for the rest of her days. She never thought both Dale and Erebor were on the threshold of being destroyed by Smaug the dragon, with dwarves and men scattered about Middle Earth. Bounced from place to place, Seren has learned everything she could about weapons and fighting, with her promise to keep watch always in the back of her mind. And when she finally tracks Thorin down, she fully intends to keep that promise. Thorin, however, has different plans. He is on his way to the town of Bree, in search of his own father, Thráin, who has been missing for years. Wounded in the Battle of the Five Armies, Thorin Oakenshield and his two nephews are brought to Rivendell. There, the three dwarves begin the long, arduous, and taxing road to recuperation and all Thorin wants it to be well enough to return to Erebor and his rightful place on that throne. Amara makes him want to punch something, but at the same time, with each day, his desire for her outweighs his aggravation with her. Amara of Rivendell has devoted her life to healing, but she never expected to meet someone like Thorin. The proud, stubborn dwarf challenges her to no end, and in return, she works him until he swears revenge. But along the way, she realizes there is more to the King Under the Mountain than meets the eye, and as they come to know one another, she becomes more determined to break down his walls and bring some happiness into his life. But, while Azog the Defiler is gone, another has taken his place and like his predecessor, has vowed to end the line of Durin for once and for all, and just might be successful in shattering the fragile peace Thorin and Amara find in each other's arms.Complete
Something in the Night
Following the Battle of the Five Armies, a seriously wounded Thorin Oakenshield returns to Erebor to recuperate and eventually ascend the throne as king. With the deaths of Azog the Defiler and his son, Bolg, Thorin no longer has to worry about the bounty the Defiler placed on his head and can instead concentrate on restoring Erebor to its former glory. Nina Carren of Esgaroth has one goal-to make Thorin Oakenshield pay for unleashing Smaug the dragon unto her home-where he destroyed the town and killed her family. The Defiler might be gone, but his bounty remains very much in place, and she fully intends to collect on it. Finally, the opportunity shows itself for her to do just that, only to have it go horribly awry. Wounded and now at his mercy, neither Nina nor Thorin stopped to think what might happen, should things not go quite according to plan...Complete

I do not own The Hobbit or LOTR. The Hobbit is what I based this story off of. A Thorin Oakenshield x OC you might really enjoy like I do, and I wrote the story! I decided this description needed a rewrite: Fiery, stubborn, prideful, daring. I am all of those names, always have been. I never back down from a challenge, never turn away from my choice. I am determined to find my home. And, one day, I know I will. I just never thought a handsome, stubborn, irritating, stoic, and annoying dwarf king would step in my way and tip me off that path I was determined to stay on. I never thought he would take my hand, and guide me down a much better path than I ever imagined.
