Laelia currently is being held in an unnamed Illyrian War Camp after crossing from Day Court. She was immediately named prisoner by Rainer, the violent and abusive eldest son of the Warlord. He has taken a special interest in Laelia, buying her survival for as long as he keeps his interest, which she had successfully done for 5 years. Laelia understands she is playing a game, and if she loses, she will die.

But everything changes when Cassian, General of the Night Court, is due to stamp out rebellions and rumors of Hybern sympathies in the Mountains. When he arrives, he finds a High Fae female broken at the hands of his rival since the Blood Rite. And he cannot help but intervene.

Two years have passed since Mikael Anik and Estelle Marzena survived the Illyrian Blood Rite and were mated. They've finally settled into their new life together, back in the Dawn Court. However, the peace they've known thus far is almost at an end. For months, Estelle has suffered nightmares of the events that took place on Ramiel, and they are growing worse with each day that her questions remain unanswered. It is time for the mystery to be unraveled, but what will it cost to do so? There is more at stake now than either of them could have imagined. Are they facing an isolated threat, or is it possible that some ancient foe lurks within Prythian's borders, waiting for her chance to strike? This story takes place several years after A Court of Silver Flames and follows the storyline I have set out in my previous fanfictions. Warning: This book, while being a work of fiction, still deals with real elements. There will be chapters dealing with sexual content, rape, abuse, depression, gore, PTSD, and other topics which some might find triggering.
